1064/1080/1550/2000nm Cladding Power Stripper & Mode Field Adapter MFA
In high-power fiber lasers and fiber amplifiers, pump light and signal light undergo energy exchange in the doped fiber. The pump is weakened and the signal is enhanced. The pump energy cannot be fully absorbed, and there will always be some residue, and will be in the double package. The energy is transmitted through the outer cladding of the optical fiber (such as 793nm, 808nm, 915nm, 940nm, 976nm, etc.). This part of the energy is often unnecessary and may cause damage to subsequent devices. The use of a cladding power stripper (CPS) can be effective.” The residual pump in the cladding and even the reflected signal light returned by the inner cladding are stripped away, and the signal light transmitted in the core can be well maintained, including the signal light power and beam quality factor (M2).
When a mode field adapter (MFA) connects two optical fibers with different mode field diameters (MFD) and numerical apertures (NA), it can maximize the pass rate of the fundamental mode signal at the splice point; we can combine the two CPS&MFA Functional devices are integrated together to reduce welding loss and product size space.
